All of Los Angeles, straight to your home.
Time In Couchbound No. #01
You can make Disneyland’s famous churros at home
Your kitchen might not feel like the happiest place on earth right now, but that’s nothing a little fried dough can’t fix. All you’ll need are the baking basics—butter, sugar, oil, eggs, a little flour and salt—and you’ll be on your way to recreating the iconic snack.
What to stream this week
Tonight, 8pm Hot Tub
Kurt Braunohler and Kristen Schaal’s long-running Monday night variety show has made the jump to Twitch.
Wed, Sat at 11:30am The beloved Bob Baker Marionette Theater pulls some strings for these biweekly revivals of some of its classic routines. Look out for a new puppet-making tutorial today, too.

Thu at 12:30pm The Hammer Museum is helping us all take deep breaths with this half-hour meditation on Zoom.

Sat at 11am The Grammy Museum opens up its vault of intimate performances and Q&As with California’s norteño icons Los Tigres del Norte, plus Common and Alice Merton earlier in the week.
Hungry?
It’s brunch o’clock somewhere
Mimosas are only as bottomless as your at-home supply of OJ and champ right now. But brunch doesn’t have to be off the table completely thanks to some choice takeout and delivery options from spots like Great White (pictured), Salt’s Cure and Playa Provisions. Bring on the smoothie bowls, eggs Benedicts, breakfast sandwiches and, yes, even a full espresso bar.
A HiFi coffee shop
Doubting Thomas still cranks out fantastic croissants and sticky buns starting at around 8am every day, plus some of our favorite avocado toast. Thirsty? There’s a full coffee bar and matcha concentrate in to-go jars.
Top-notch breakfast tacos
HomeState’s Tex-Mex menu of tortillas stuffed with scrambled eggs, stewed beans and a range of meats can be ordered for curbside pickup at its Los Feliz and Highland Park locations—along with jugs of their margaritas to-go.
A pantry full of brunch goods
Valerie Echo Park isn’t just our ideal café for some great granola, quiche and goat cheese bread pudding—now it’s also a corner store with plenty of pantry items for pickup, and it still manages to turn out some incredible breakfast fare every day.
Breakfast Española in the Valley
Woodland Hills’ Gasolina Cafe is keeping the kitchen open so you can still get diner-like classics with a Spanish twist to-go. Forget a side of bacon with your eggs; instead, you want the griddle-fried serrano ham a la plancha.
Recreate fine art with whatever’s lying around your home
You could use all of this time at home to clean up and reorganize. Or you could do quite the opposite and tear through your pantry and closet to recreate centuries-old art masterpieces with nothing more than a few knickknacks. We’re definitely siding with the latter after seeing the Getty’s social media challenge: to recreate your favorite work of art using only three objects lying around your home.
