These Miami makers want to give you free stuff in exchange
for your donations
Not that you need the incentive, but donating to organizations that support Black Lives Matter will get you freebies like baked goods and colorful works of art. Here’s how.
What to stream this week
Sunday Virtual dance class
Get pumped for another virtual dance class, this time led by Miami City Ballet School’s resident faculty instructor, Herman Payne. Get those pointe shoes ready for ballet on June 14. Classes run approximately 40 minutes and are suitable for all ages.
The best of the rest:

Wednesday Need a moment of Zen? Gather your thoughts and center yourself during The Underline’s weekly meditation sessions. Tune in every Wednesday at noon for the free, midweek mental boost.

This month Experience the first virtual artist-in-residence program from Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), presented in partnership with Indigo Arts Alliance. Nyugen E. Smith, whose work is currently on view inside PAMM, hosts a series of discussions on the current and future impact of the pandemic on local communities of color.
The Little Haiti Book Festival returns this month
Rummaging through novels and swapping paperbacks with strangers might be on hold for now, but literary fairs, thankfully, can still go on. Every weekend in June, tune in for all kinds of cultural programming and panel discussions, featuring authors from the Haitian diaspora, booksellers and so many more from Miami’s thriving Caribbean community.
