Also, here’s what comes next after Phase 4
Time Out No. #6 | Mon 24 August, 2020
So… what happens after Phase 4?
Over the last few months, we’ve all been through multiple phases of New York reopening. At times, it’s been hard to keep track of what’s open, what’s closed and what’s still up in the air. But now that we’ve entered the final phase, the question everyone’s asking is, What’s next? Well, it’s not Phase 5! We’ve got a run down of the city’s plans going forward and what going out in NYC may look like in the weeks to come.

The week ahead
"The heat is cranked up. And just in time for New Yorkers to cool off before we all start to melt, day passes are now available at The William Vale’s rooftop pool so you can get in some swim time with sweeping views. If you can't make it poolside, head to Nowadays's massive backyard, for the ultimate summer barbecue. This Tuesday and Wednesday, they’ll be screening The Grateful Dead movie. Then, whether you want to dance while cleaning the dishes or have a distanced dinner party, stream The Lot Radio . The acclaimed radio station, which broadcasts DJ sets every hour of the day, might make your workdays feel like a weekend."

The return of rooftop bars
Outdoor rooftop venues have been a bit slower to reopen compared to outdoor street-level ones, but we’re now seeing an increasing number of places where you can get your outdoor dining on in an open air, socially distanced setting with a view. In addition to some great go-tos like Westlight and Summerly, one of the city’s best rooftop bars, Broken Shaker, is also now back in business, offering a tropical escape perfect for a Manhattan staycation.
